My week of work experience

Hey
This week, instead of going to school, I was on work experience and I loved every minute of it.

I went to my old primary school
and I helped out as a student
teacher. For the week I was
placed with reception class so I helped out there.

On my 1st Day I was extremely nervous. I arrived and was shown around reception and shown all the classes and what I would be doing for the week. As the day went on my nerves faded and was replaced with delight.

Over the week I helped do odd jobs in the classroom, lead classroom sessions (such as show and tell), worked with the children ect. On Wednesday I helped out with 2 pe lessons. I acted out the three billy goats gruff story twice in those lessons.

However my favorite part of the week was when the children went on playtime. On the first day I made up a story for a few of the children. As the week progressed more and more children demanded me to tell them a story. Soon I was surrounded by children listening to my story. I also read stories in class to them as well. As well as telling stories I helped them build models out of wooden blocks, did painting with them ect.

I think the most nerve wracking thing for me was eating in the staff room on a lunch time. I felt quite awkward ( though not in a mean way) sitting there with the other teachers and eating my lunch. However my friend from school was also with me so at least we had each other.

Today was my last day and I was really sad to be leaving as I had so much fun working, playing and helping the children. The teachers very kindly gave me a star award, a box of chocolates and a thank you card. They also wrote lovely comments on the back of my log book.

This was one of the best weeks ever and I was very glad to have been able to do my work experience at my old school.

How To: Eat Healthy Tutorial

Healthy Eating. Yes it can seem like a chore but unfortunately we have to do it unless we want to suffer from health problems. I know we would all love to live on junk food but we can't do that. Instead we cut down on the junk food and eat as much healthy things possible. This tutorial will tell you how to eat as healthily as possible.

Breakfast
I wonder how many times we have heard breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Well it is because it gives you the energy you need to start the day. Breakfast is one of my big let downs. On a weekday I'm rushing round on a morning getting ready for school so I'm not awake enough to be ready to eat breakfast. Consequently I don't eat it ( Yes I know its bad but it can't be helped). Instead I buy a healthy cereal bar from school at break and that keeps me going until lunch.

On a weekend it's different because I actually eat breakfast. Normally I eat 1 weetabix+fruit+juice+a cup of tea. If you have cereal you should drink fruit juice because it helps you to absorb the iron from the cereal. So a simple healthy breakfast plan is: Healthy cereal ( NO sugary ones)+ fruit juice + fresh fruit.

 Lunch
4/5 School days I take a packed lunch and I try to make it as healthy as possible. My packed lunch consists of a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a healthy treat ( flapjack or Kellogs biscuit moment and some juice. A healthy sandwich is made with a wholemeal bun or bread with cheese or meat on it. On a weekend I eat the same for lunch but I prepare a mini salad to go with it.

Dinner
This one is quite hard as my parents cook my dinner for me but usually 5/7 its healthy. A simple way to eat healthy at dinner is make sure your plate has at least 5 different colours on it. If they are mainly white, golden chances are it isn't healthy. If you follow the 5 colour rule for every meal you can't go wrong.

Snacks
If your hungry between meals you should eat a healthy snack. This could include fruit, nuts , cheese and crackers, vegetables with a yummy dip, flapjack, apple with peanut butter ect.

Junk Food
I love junk food as much as the next person but if I eat it constantly it's not going to do me any good at all. So I'm trying very hard to cut down by trying to eat junk food only once a week. For me my junk food day is Friday because I get pizza and chips for my lunch at school. Remember sweets, crisps, cake, chocolate and junk food are fine for you so long as you eat them in moderation.

Eating healthy will benefit you in so many different ways. It will help your hair, skin and give you loads of energy!!!

So if your stuck on how to eat healthy follow this simple tutorial.

❤My obsession for Soap and Glory❤

Salut everyone.

I have a huge obsession with soap and glory. I'm not even joking. I got the massive yule Monty gift set off my grandparents for Christmas and another one off my aunt and uncle. I also have the massive make up set as well.

This is my current collection
of Soap and Glory products excluding the make up kit

So today I'm going to blog about a few of my favorite products (I would love to blog about them all but I would be here an extremely long time)

Shampoo and Conditioner
I previously blogged about these two and my opinion hasn't changed. They are still the best shampoo+conditioner I have ever used. The scent of the shampoo and conditioner is a lovely fruity one. The conditioner leaves your hair lovely and silky and in top condition. The shampoo is quite sticky but not in a bad way. It leaves my hair feeling amazing and smelling lovely.

Sugar Crush Body Wash
This smells like a lemonade and is just delicious. It leaves your skin smelling fabulous and soft. Also it doesn't dry out your skin like some body washes can do. This body wash comes in fab packaging as well.

Mist you Madly Body Spray
This is the product that kicked off my obsession for soap and glory. A lot of my friends had this spray and I fell in love with its yummy scent. So last Christmas I received it as a present off my family. Out of the soap and glory body sprays I own ( I own all of them BTW) this is my favorite. I love its floral scent and it comes in a pretty pink bottle as well.

Hand Food
The hand cream is just simply amazing. Did you know it contains marshmallow extract and that's why it smells so flipping fabulous. It leaves your hands feeling lovely and soft and banishes dryness. My friend used to bring a mini tube to school and I was constantly using it. Now I have my own mini tube for my school bag.

Peaches and Clean Cleansing Face Wash

I use this on a morning when I wash my face and its just excellent. It leaves my face feeling refreshed and clean ( which is just what I want on a morning). Also it helps me with my rubbish teenage skin as it helps clear up my spots. But the best bit is it actually smells of peaches and cream.

Body Scrub
This is,without doubt, the best body scrub I have ever used. It promises to get rid of dry and rough skin and I can confirm it does. Your skin is left feeling soft for ages. So if you want to buy a body scrub this is the one to buy. It smells amazing and is pretty and pink as well.

Body Butter
One of the best body butters I own. Again it has such an amazing smell. It comes in a lovely tub as well. However I do have a very slight downer with this product. When I did my arms and legs ( I used hair removing cream as normal) it gave me a rash on my arm WHICH WASN'T GOOD at all!!! Its a shame because would love to use it after doing my arms and legs but now I will have to use an un-perfumed one.

Well that's just a few of the Soap and Glory products I love and own. If you have any Soap and Glory products you love tell me in the comment section.

Its a pamper night for me

Heyyyy Ho all!!!
Today was my first day back at school and it went well. On the night before school starts again I have several choices, do homework I have tried to forget about (nope because I had already done my homework during the holidays, cry, do nothing or have a pamper evening.
Can you guess what I did???

I had a pamper evening and these are the products I used

Lush: Sex Bath Bomb
OMG OMG OMG!!! This is the best bath bomb I ever used. I dropped it into the bath and it turned the water bright pink and smelt amazing. If I get the chance then I will buy this bath bomb again because it's soooo fabulous

Lush:Cupcake Face Mask
This face mask probably has the cutest name out of them all. However it looked and smelt disgusting when I applied it to my face. However once I washed it off it left my face feeling lovely and smooth. I haven't seen a difference in spots yet but I'm going to give it a few go's to see if it makes a different.
For me it wasn't the best face mask I ever used (Personally I prefer the catastrophe cosmectic)

Soap and Glory: Scrub of your life
This smells so lovely, all fruity and fantabulous. It comes in a funky pink tube and even the scrub itself contains pink grains. When I used it it left my skin feeling smooth and fabulous. I must say its amazing and probably because its by Soap and Glory ( my fave beauty brand ever!!!)

Soap and Glory: The righteous Body Butter
I love this body butter!!! Its thick but just the right thick, not too thick or too gloopy or sticky. It leaves your skin feeling lovely and soft and smelling lush. Again its by Soap and Glory so that's just one reason of why I love it so much.

The Body Shop Wild Rose Hand Cream

I've been using this hand cream for a while now and I can confirm it works!!! I would describe the scent as a lovely fresh rosey smell. It definitely leaves your hands all lovely and soft.

The Body Shop: Foot scrub and Foot cream
My feet can get quite rough and all horrible. So firstly I use the pumice foot scrub which smells very minty. Once I wash it off I apply a thick layer of foot cream ( its pink and again smells minty) and put on my thickest pair of socks. In the morning I wash my feet ( when I'm in the shower) and they feel lovely and smooth. I find these are the best products to use on your feet.

Well that's what I use when I have a pamper night. I wonder if any of you have a pamper night. If you do leave a comment and tell me what you use :D

This or That Tag

Hello everyone!
Today's blog post is a one or the other one. I saw it on someone else's blog and it looked pretty fun to do, so here is mine.

Make up
Blusher or bronzer
Blusher

I have never really used bronzer before and sometimes it can make you look a little to orange. However I love blusher and I use it on a regular basis. It gives your cheeks a lovely healthy glow and comes in power or cream form. There are also many great shades to choose from which give you cheeks a natural glow.

Lipstick or Lip gloss
Lipstick

Lip gloss can make your hair sticky when its windy and plus it never lasts long. However lipstick stays on for much longer and isn't sticky as its matte. I love lipstick and I find there are more colours to choose from with lipstick than there is with lip gloss.

Eyeliner or Mascara
Mascara

I have never really mastered the technique of putting on eyeliner so I always end up looking like a panda. So I prefer mascara and I have been using it for quite a long time. Mascara is a two in one as it makes your eyelashes longer and gives them volume. You cant really go wrong with mascara. Its one of my cosmetics must haves.

Foundation or Concealer
Foundation

I have never really used concealer that much and when I do it just goes wrong. Foundation is very easy and you can find one that matches your skin tone. I prefer liquid foundations as they are less likely to go wrong. Also you can use foundation as a concealer as well so double bonus.

Neutral or Colour Eye shadow
Neutral

I prefer neutral eye shadow to coloured eye shadow for the simple reason it looks more natural. Also I haven't really used coloured eye shadow in a long time as it can look like clown make up.

Brushes or Sponges
Brushes

I have only used a sponge once and it went very wrong as I applied the foundation to my face rather than the sponge. So when I used the sponge it wiped off my foundation. Also you can only really use sponges for foundation and cream blushers whereas with brushes you can use them to apply pretty much any type of makeup. Also they are so much more easier to use and they are re use-able.

Nails

Long or short
Short

Hmmm this one was quite hard. However really long nails just look freaky and are more likely to break. Also with short nails you can paint them bright colours to make a statement. Personally I prefer my nails to be just in the middle, not to long or to short. Also practical wise short nails are far better and they are less hassle.

Acrylic or Natural
Natural

Although I like acrylic nails they can damage your nail layers and can be quite painful if they get caught and get ripped off. Also it can take ages to get them off. With natural nails you can get special nail strengthening polish to help them grow. You can also paint your nails and do funky nail art just like with acrylics.

Bright or Dark Nail Polish
Bright nail polish

If I'm going to make a statement via make up then its with nail polish. They can contrast with your outfit and add a pop of colour. Also there are more bright shades of nail polish to choose from than with dark shades. I find dark shades of nail polish can be too harsh.

Body

Perfume or Body Spray
Body Spray

Hmmm this one was a very hard one to choose as I use them both regularly and I love them both. However if I had to pick one I would choose body sprays. There are more scents to choose from so you are bound to find one that suits you. Also you can use body spray as a perfume so that's an extra bonus. Body sprays come in huge bottles so they last longer and they tend to be cheaper as well.

Body Lotion or Body Butter

Body Butter

Again this one was really hard as I use both and love them both. However I will go with body butter. It is thicker which can make it more moisturizing. Also they can come in a variety of smells and colours and are pretty fab.

Body Wash or Soap
Body Wash

Body wash wins by miles!!! It is so much more easy to use and doesn't slip out of your hands. They tend to foam up more and come in a much wider variety than soap does. Although I must admit some soaps look very pretty and smell amazing.

Fashion
Jeans or Sweatpants
Jeans

I only own one pair of sweatpants and I only wear them for PE and cleaning the car. Therefor jeans win. Jeans go with pretty much every outfit and come in a variety of colours and different types of jeans like bootleg and skinny.

Long Sleeves or Short Sleeves
Short Sleeves

Again this was another hard one to choose from but I own more short sleeve shirts than long. You can wear them all year round as you can put plain long sleeved shirts underneath or wear a cardigan or hoodie. They are zillions of colours and designs to choose from and some are very cute!!!

Dresses or Skirts
Dresses

I find dresses much more cuter. Also you can wear dresses formally and non formally and can be worn all year round. They come in all different lengths, shapes and colours.

Flip Flops or Sandals
Sandals

Flip Flops slip off really easily and the middle bit can rub the middle of your toes raw which makes them really sore afterwards. Sandals are much easier to wear and are more likely to stay on your feet!!! You can get them in many different patterns and even get wedged sandals which give you height.

Necklaces or bracelets
Bracelets

I own more bracelets than necklaces. Also you can wear more than one bracelet at one which is really cool and something you cant really do with necklaces. Bracelets can be bought quite cheaply, especially if bought from charity shops where you can get some cool vintage ones.

High Heels or Flat Shoes
Flat Shoes

You are less likely to hurt yourself if you fall in flat shoes. Also they are much easier to walk in. They can come in many different forms such as creepers, pumps, trainers boots ect. They come in many different styles and colours.

Hair
Curly or Straight
Straight

Personally I find straight hair much more easier to manage. It it less likely to frizz and get tangled. Also its easy to get curly hair from straight hair but not so easy vice versa.

Bun or Ponytail
Ponytail

Ponytails are far more easier to do. Also they take less time and look really simple. You can do more thing with a ponytail than you can with a bun. You can wear your ponytail high, low or even at the side of your head.

Short Hair or Long Hair
Long

I've had short hair for a long time but now I'm growing it out as I want it long. You can do more things with long hair and it is less likely to stick up and look horrible. Also short hair only suits some people and cropped hair can look very cool. But more me its long hair.

Up or Down
Up

As mentioned before I'm growing my hair out and the ends can flick out which really bug me. I prefer wearing my hair up as it makes it easy to manage and if I go out the wind isn't going to ruin it. However if you have long hair I would say it looks really pretty left down

Well they my opinions on one or the other. Please comment if you disagree with me or have any different preferences.

BTW I think this is my longest blog post ever :D (wooooooo)
