Review: I love cosmetics bath/shower gel

Hello everyone!
Today I want to share with you a review.

*This is not a sponsored post, I purchased the product with my own money*

I love cosmetics raspberry ripple bath/shower gel

I was really excited when Superdrug introduced a new range of I love cosmetics products. Besides the usual bubble baths and body butters they've now even introduced bath fizzers!

Anyway I choose the raspberry ripple one as I love the smell of raspberries and anything pink.

My first initial thought was I like the simple yet cute packing on the bottle. The shower/bath gel itself is a lovely pink colour and smells like raspberry ice cream! (I was really excited to use it as a bubble bath as it would feel like I was bathing in ice cream)

However for a bubble bath I was really disappointed with it. You have to use loads to get a decent amount of bubbles (I like really bubbly baths) and the bubbles begin to disappear after a short while. I felt this really let the product down, especially as it smells so lovely. I've also used other bath/shower gels by the same brand and they've produced plenty of bubbles.

I haven't used it as a shower gel but one day I will and hopefully it will create a nice lather and smell just as good.

Rating: 5/10

Have you used any I love cosmetic products? What are your opinions on them?

Who I am

Hi lovelies!

This is probably one of the most personal blog posts I've ever written, yet it means so much to me. It's self love and confidence all in 1.

Looking back a few years ago, I was such a different person to the person I am today. I want to share with you the person I once was to the person I am today.

A few years back I hit rock bottom, I was being bullied and I was at a very low point in my life. I naturally have a very bubbly/ loud personality and people interpreted that as "annoying", ultimately that's what I got bullied for. I began to really hate myself and I wanted to change myself because I no longer liked who I was. My self esteem and confidence rapidly deteriorated. It got to the point where I began to lock myself in the toilets and cry because I didn't want to be myself anymore. At the time I thought if I changed myself then people would be nicer to me and I would feel happier.

I also had really bad teeth, another thing I hated about myself/self conscious about. People would call me names like "rat" and I hated showing my teeth whenever I smiled.

I've been through a hell of a journey but that's my past,it's who I once was and it's shaped me into the person I am today.

After years of braces/orthodontic work my teeth are in a far better state and look fine (if you met me for the 1st time you couldn't tell that I have previously worn braces).I now love my smile and I feel confident and great when I show my teeth.

I also slowly learnt to love myself again for who I was and I began to build up my self esteem. I learned to accept I am who I am and if people want to hate me for it then that's their choice, they'll never know the real me. To this day I'm a much happier person and I feel far more comfortable in my own skin.

Happy me, all smiley!

My experience taught me to stay positive and to always have a positive outlook on life, no matter what. I'd say 95% of the time I'm a very positive person and I try to have a positive mindset. I'm now a far stronger person than I used to be, I went through some extremely tough and upsetting times, but they just made me stronger. I try my hardest not to let negativity get to me.

To anyone who read's this post: not matter how badly people have treated you, no matter how much you dislike yourself and no matter what you've been through, ALWAYS love yourself for who you are and love yourself unconditionally. Remember there will always be people who love for who you are and will stand by you through thick and thin. Remember that what people say about you doesn't define who you are, it just makes you stronger and you prove people wrong.

Current Everyday Makeup

Hello!
For me, the Easter holidays are now over *sobs* and I'm back at college, back to reality.

Over the holidays I bought some new make up,which I've been wearing since I went back to college! Here is my current everyday makeup

L'Oreal Infallibe Foundation, Shade Porcelain
After months of having this foundation my beauty wishlist (READ ABOUT HERE: http://petiteseverina.blogspot.co.uk/2016/01/makeup-wishlist.html), I finally bought it and I'm so glad I did!
This is a matte foundation with a high coverage. However as it's the lightest shade and I'm super pale, it just gives my skin a bit of colour without looking too dark. It lasts me the majority of the day (although I'm sure it would last longer if I wore primer!). I use my eco tools foundation brush to help blend my foundation in and go over bits which have gone patchy.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Finishing Powder
This is the 1st time I have ever bought and worn powder and WHY HAVE I NEVER BOUGHT POWDER BEFORE? Not only does it help me set my foundation but I love the feeling of applying powder (anyone else love the feeling?). My powder brush is super soft and big which is great for applying powder as I don't miss anyway. This powder is a transparent shade so it doesn't look cakey when applied.

L'Oreal stars secret makeup kit

My mum gave me this kit a couple of years ago and I've loved using it ever since. For my eyeshadow I use the pale pink shade which is shimmery. It gives my eyes a bit of colour whilst looking natural (I'm really into natural/nude eyeshadow!)

MaxFactor masterpiece max mascara

I bought this mascara at a discounted price and I've loved using it every since. Its a bold mascara which lengthens and gives my eyelashes plenty of volume, I end up with really long looking eye lashes! Although it's a high volume mascara it doesn't clump and the texture isn't too wet, exactly what you're looking for in a mascara.

L'Oreal super liner eyeliner
During the holidays I mastered the technique of putting winged eyeliner on and I've now added eyeliner to my daily makeup. This eyeliner is perfect as it has a very fine end so you can get the line perfect but also make it thicker if needs be. The colour is really bold and lasts all day as well.

Technique clear mascara

I bought this mascara for 99p (bargain!). I use this mascara to tame and shape my eyebrows as I'm not a fan of defining/drawing on eyebrows (the look just doesn't work for me). I just need one, quick brush and then my brows are sorted.

Benefit rockateau blusher

I love this blusher as it's such a natural shade. With blushers I like a bit of colour without being too bold and this one is perfect. It's a lovely peachy/pink shade and I just need to apply a little bit to give my cheeks some colour.

Revlon lip butter, Shade- peach parfait

When it comes to lips I vary which lip product I use day to day. However I've been using this lip butter a few times this week as it's very moisturizing and doesn't dry my lips out (which can get really dry). It's such a natural looking shade and it's quite pigmented so it lasts a good few hours.

*I tend to vary what days I wear foundation, powder and eyeliner as I like to allow my skin to breathe and it depends what type of day I'm going to have*

What makeup do you currently wear? Is there any new makeup you'd like to try out?

Aspiring to be boho

Hello sweethearts!

Over the past few months I have fallen in love with the bohemian fashion style. I constantly retweet outfits/jewelry/random photos off all the boho pages I follow on Twitter.

The boho style is so simple yet beautiful at the same time, I love how you have a really simple outfit that looks fabulous. I also love the boho lifestyle which as all about living life simply but fully, enjoying all the little things and being a free and independent spirit

I have seen so many clothes and pieces of jewelry that I want and hopefully one day I will own them all. However, currently I do own the odd piece of jewelry and clothing.

Here is my boho wishlist:

Are you into the boho style? Do you owe any boho jewelry/clothes?

A day out

Hola!

In between busily revising for my A-level exams, I took a day off Sunday and went out for the day.

It was a lovely, sunny day and it felt great being outside and getting some fresh air after being stuck indoors all week.

I went to Benningborough Hall with my family, a national trust property in the Yorkshire countryside.
Currently Benningborough is celebrating their 300th birthday!

The hall itself was home to many different families and the hall tells you all about the different families that lived there!

Here are some photos I took whilst at Benningborough Hall:

I know this was only a short blog post but I hope you enjoyed reading it. Where have you been recently?
