Looking back and moving forward

Hola!
Firstly, Happy New Year everyone, I hope you had a brilliant 2015.

I usually do this post on New Years Eve/ New Years Day but I was away until New Years Day and didn't get back until late.

Anyway here is what my 2015 was like and what my hopes and dreams are for 2016.

2015

For me 2015 was an interesting year for me. I completed my first year at college and got decent AS Results, I went to Scotland, London and the Harry Potter Studios, I applied to university, I made some new friends and got my hair exactly how I wanted it. Like every year 2015 was filled with high and low points but I went on some amazing adventures and I have lots of great memories of last year.

For me the biggest learning point of 2015 was to let go, in many different ways. People who I was close to and were important in my life left and friendships changed. This was particularly difficult for me but I slowly learned to let go and that this was a part of life.

2016

Moving on into 2016 I will look back over the great memories and remember the lessons 2015 taught me.

2016 is going to be a big year for me in many different ways and should just be a fab year in general.

Rather than make new years resolutions I have set myself goals to achieve throughout this year:

  • Enjoy my final year at college
  • Get good A-level results
  • Get into my top choice university
  • Learn to drive and pass my driving test
  • Pass my QTS test (needed as I want to be a primary school teacher)
  • Learn to cook
  • Learn new hairstyles and different ways to apply makeup
  • Master putting on eyeliner
  • Stay healthy and exercise plenty
  • Always have a positive mindset
Hopefully I will achieve all of my goals.

I hope you all have a wonderful 2016, may it be filled with lots of fun, laughter and great memories

★Happy New Year★

Happy New Year!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful year this year. Did any of you do anything nice last night? I just stayed at home and watched Arthur Christmas with my family.

Well as its the new year its time for some new years resolutions and here are mine:

  1. Become Healthy- Yes I eat healthy but I'm very unfit at the moment (mainly because I suffer from asthma). This year I want to exercise more to become more fit and not be out of breath after running for 5 seconds.
  2. Stress Less- At the moment I stress waaayyy to much and it isn't doing me any good at all. I want to be able to manage my stress and have a less stressful year
  3. Enjoy the year- Like last year I want another positive year and to enjoy this year.
What are your new years resolutions???

★ 2014 Page 365 of 365★

Happy New Years Eve everyone!!!

2014 has been such a fantastic year filled with oodles of great memories. I had several fun adventures, met some lovely new people and had an amazing time.

In this post I'm going to be reviewing 2014 with you and sharing my highlights of the year. Lets start with the resolutions I made at the start of this year:
  1. Eat more healthy ✔
  2. Learn to cook ✘
  3. Have a happy and positive year ✔
I kept resolutions 1+3. I have defiantly learned to eat more healthy food and compared to other years I've had a very happy and positive year (even though there were a few downs, but then again there always are). Unfortunately I didn't learn to cook mainly due to having not a lot of time to practice and I need help from my parents to help me (just while I grow confident).

Now here are the highlights of each month

January

The main highlight of January was when I went on work experience to my old primary school ( I blogged about it BTW). I had amazing week working with the children. It helped me make up my mind that I want to be a primary school teacher.

February

February was a pretty quite month. The highlight of february, for me, was half term. I had a few nice days out and I also had a sleepover at one of my friends house

March

March was an even quieter month. In fact,if I'm brutally honest, I can't think of a highlight for march as it was just an average month.

April

Braceless Moi

In April I had a nice Easter break where again I went on some nice days out and for a couple of days I was in school for GCSE revision sessions. However the best thing about april was on the 28th I had my braces removed. I had been in braces since y8 (well I had a removable one first then the actual ones) and before I had braces my teeth were a right mess. However after getting my braces off for the 1st time ever I could smile confidently whilst showing my teeth.

May

Leaving school

On the 13th May I stared sitting my GCSE'S (scary times). Then before may half term I officially left school. Had a quite may half term except for a few revision sessions.

June

On the 13th June I sat my final GCSE exam (which was a 2 hour maths paper :( ). Then on the 30th June I had my prom (also blogged about). It was one of the best nights of my life and I had such an amazing time.

July

In July I got to see the Tour de France the weekend it was in Yorkshire and it was such a great weekend ( also blogged about). Then on the last week of July my school held a summer drama course which is always lots of fun. You play drama games and make up your own whole group drama's.

August

August was a very exciting month. I went away for 2 weeks to France and had a wonderful holiday there. Whilst on holiday I got my GCSE results and I was over the moon to have passed everything. I then spent 3 days down south and on one of those days I went to London for the day. It was also my birthday in August and I had a lovely day with my family and my best friend (who I spent the morning with).

September

September was quite in comparison. I started 6th form and that was pretty much the highlight of september. However at the end of september I got the bus over to my friends house. Unfortunately as I got off the bus I walked straight into the bus stop and gave myself a HUGE black eye.

October

As you all know in october half term I did the NCS course and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had a fantastic adventure and made some amazing new friends.

November

In November I spent the first 2 weekends doing my social action which was repainting an old primary school. Its being converted into a theatre for the theatre company called EarthBeat. At the end of November I graduated from the NCS course and it was a wondeful night.

December

At the start of december I took part in our schools christmas play (my mock exam in drama) and it was The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. I was Mr Tumnas in it and I really enjoyed performing in it. On Chritsmas eve I had a lovely day looking round York with my family. Then I had a wonderful christmas day with my family and got lots of amazing things.

Well for me 2014 was an amazing year and I hope 2015 will be just as good, if not better. Hope you all have a very happy new year.

Happy New Year- 2014 is finally here!!!

Happy new year sweet strawberries!!! I hope your year is filled with fun, joy, love, luck, success ect. This year is the year of the horse ( in Chinese Zodiac) so if any of you were born in the year of the horse then a very happy year to you!!!

So new year can only mean one thing- New years resolutions and here are mine for this year:

1.Learn to cook
In a couple of years time I will be off to uni so its vital I know how to cook. I can bake cakes and cookies and heat stuff up in the oven and heat up soup and stuff but I want to be able to cook proper meals. As I got a students cookbook ( no I'm not a university student) I should be able to follow the simple meals ( and if they go write I might even blog about my cooking experience). Every Saturday I'm going to cook a meal for my family and I'm starting with egg fried rice ( I pray it goes well)

2. Eat More healthy foods
I do eat healthily ( well most of the time). However I'm a junk food addict and I have a massive weak spot for chocolate. So my goal for this year is to cut down on junk food and eat more fruit and veg and healthy foods. I've also decided that I'm only going to eat junk food on a Friday starting from next Tuesday.
This is going to be the hardest one but I really hope I can stick to it.

3. Be a stronger person
To many times I let people get to me and try to break me down ( not physically btw). So this year I'm not taking it from anyone if someone is mean to me then let them I really don't care anymore. BUT that isn't going to stop me from being a nice person because I can still be nice to people even if they aren't to me ( it will just make them feel guilty)

So those are my resolutions and at the end of the year I will do a review and let you know if I have stuck to them.

So whats going to happen with the blog???
Well hopefully I'm going to blog more often. I only created this blog last July so last year was about discovering my blog really ( if you have any suggestions please comment and tell me as I would love to hear from you)

One more thing

I made a memory jar!!! Every time something good happens I'm going to write it down and then at the end of the year I will empty the jar and see how many good things have happened. They aren't hard to make, all you need is a clean jar and you can decorate them with wrapping paper if you want to.

So to all my readers and friends have a very happy new year!!!
