5 Things I look forward to in a day

Hello lovelies!

5 Things I look forward to in a day

  1.  Eating: I'm a foodie so eating is definitely something I look forward to. Eating is one of my pleasures I get out of life. I love being able to eat delicious meals and there is nothing better than snacking on some food that you love (for me thats chocolate).
  2. Spending time with my family: Another thing I look forward to is spending time with my family whether its eating together at tea time or having a chat with my mum. On a weekend we sometimes watch a movie in the evening together which I love.
  3. Seeing/Talking/Hanging out with my friends: I love having a good old gossip with my friends either about my life or those irrelevant conversations. Usually I look forward to going to college mainly because I'll see my friends there. I also enjoy having a good time and a laugh with my friends as well.
  4. Going out: Strictly speaking this isn't something I do every day but I still enjoy it. I would much rather go out and be doing something than staying indoors all day. I enjoy being out in the open, there is so much to see each day!
  5. Reading: I love nothing more than reading a good book. It gives me time to escape from the hectic world for a bit. I also get really into the story and for me reading is very relaxing.

What are the 5 things you look forward to in a day?

My Summer Staples

Hi!
I'm now officially on summer holidays, YAY!

With the weather being warm over the past couple of weeks I have loved being able to wear my summer clothes.
In this post I'm going to share with you my fashion staples for summer.

Summer Dresses

Left: Cardigan-Asda, Jumpsuit-New LooK
Middle: Cardigan-Pimkie, Dress- Metro Outlet
Right: New Look
I love wearing dresses in summer as it's warm enough to wear them. I own about 6 summer dresses but these are my favourite. The jumpsuit actually looks like a dress and I have own since I was in Year 9. I just love the delicate design on it. Also I love my 2 butterfly dresses as they are very floaty and pretty.

Cardigans and vest tops

Cardigan- New Look
Vest top- H&M
With summer some days can be super warm and others can be cooler. So another one of my "staples" is cardigans and vest tops as then I can adapt them with the weather. Also the cardigans I wear are thin and light so I'm not boiling in them. I like the designs on my cardigans as well. The one in the photo has ribbons on and another I own has hearts on, a simple way to brighten up a plain vest top.

Light Jumpers

Both from New Look

For slightly cooler days I love to wear "light" jumpers (by light I mean the material is thin). I bought these 2 in the New Look sale last year and I have loved wearing them (with a vest to underneath). I can team them up with trousers or shorts so they are perfect to mix and match.

Pretty Tops
Both from New Look
Like the jumpers, these were also bought in the New Look sale. The floral design on these tops defiantly have a summer feel to them. I either wear these with my shorts or jeggings depending on how hot it is outside.

Frilly Socks

With the weather being warm I can now show off my frilly socks. My collection of frilly socks is ever growing. I love being able to coordinate my socks to match my outfit (is that sad? I don't really care).

Sunglasses and Sandals

Sunglasses- Primark
Sandals- New Look
When I think of summer fashion staples sunglasses and sandals ,for me, are the most iconic pieces. If you read my last post you'll know how important sunglasses are to me during summer, I wouldn't get through summer without them. Also I enjoy wearing sandals and with the colour of these they go with all my summer outfits.

These are all my  summer fashion staples, what are yours?

Summer: Q and A

Hello everyone!
I apologize for not blogging in a while, I have been busy with uni open days and starting my a-levels.

As its now summer I thought I would do a summer themed Q and A.

Whats your favourite summer dress?

This is my favourite summer dress which I bought a few years ago. It has an under-dress and I like the butterfly pattern. I love the design of the dress (especially as it's longer on one side) as it's very chic. The dress has a floaty feel to it which makes it the perfect dress for summer.

  Whats your favourite summer accessory?

Sunglasses, no contest! For me sunglasses are essential during the summer as they stop me feeling ill (for me excess sun exposure can cause me to have a migraine). This means they are my favourite accessory and there is a HUGE variety of sunglasses, they come in all shapes and sizes.

Summer weather in my country

As I live in the UK the summer weather can be very temperamental! One minute it can be nice and sunny and the next it can be pouring with rain. Take last week, it was lovely and sunny the first couple of days and then the following days there were thunderstorms.

Summer Holiday Plans

This summer I don't have a lot planned but these are my plans:
  • Go to university open days
  • Hang out with my friends
  • Go on holiday
  • Celebrate my birthday

Favourite BBQ food?

When my dad cooks a BBQ my favourite food is the prawn kebabs. The prawns tasty delicious and are very juicy!

Pool or beach?

Defiantly the beach! The scenery there is just gorgeous. I love to sunbathe and read on the sand and then go swimming in the sea afterwards.

Well that's my summer Q and A, I hope you liked it

Healthy,Happy Hair

Hello!
Yesterday I got my hair cut and it felt so good to have it cut as the last time I had it cut was just a couple of days before christmas!

My new haircut

I got my hair cut at Two Moons hairdressing salon (my local hairdresser), I love going there as its a lovely salon and the staff there are super friendly.
Before yesterday my hair was practically dead, full of split ends and felt like straw (not a pretty site). However I got a deep conditioning treatment put on my hair, which is like a mousse and some argan oil (its called a conditioning cocktail and it smells super yummy and amazing). My hair feels so much softer and healthier now and I can still smell the treatment in my hair as well.
My hair was quite long but as it was so dead I got it cut up to my shoulders and had it put in a bob.
I love my new hairstyle as my hair looks and feels a million times better and I'm hoping that by having my hair in a bob it wont go everywhere when I wear it down.

Have you had your haircut recently???

My beauty wishlist

Hiya!
I can't believe its June already, time is really flying by this year.

Recently I have been wanting some new beauty items so here is my current wishlist.

W7 In the nude eyeshadow palette

I'm really into using nude and natural eyeshadow as part of my eye make-up. This palette caught my eye as it has a wide selection of colours which are perfect for me. It is also considerably cheaper than the Urban Decay Naked palette and the quality is supposed to be just as good.

Maybelline lash sensational waterproof mascara

I've looked at this mascara a couple of times and it's meant to be really good. Its supposed to make your eyelashes really long and give then lots of volume so I'm really keen to purchase it. They have just released a waterproof version which is the one I want as I'm in desperate need of some waterproof mascara (I own none atm)

Clinique super balanced foundation

I also don't own any foundation at the moment and with using clinique as part of my skincare I've decided to buy a foundation as well. I've been given a few samples of the super balanced foundation and its perfect for me. Its very easy to apply (although it does take a bit to fully blend in) and it gives my skin a lovely glow without looking like I've caked my face in make up.

Katy Perry Meow perfume

In my christmas advent calendar I received this as a solid perfume in a locket. It smells so gorgeous (it smells of vanilla and has a lovely musky smell to it) and sweet and I really love sweet scents so now I want a bottle of the perfume. The bottle itself is really cute as well (and its pink, my favourite colour)

Vera Wang Princess perfume

Recently I tried a tester of this perfume in Boots and fell in love with the scent. It's got a lovely floral scent which I like. Again I really like the bottle as well and now I just want a bottle of this perfume.

Well that's my beauty wishlist, I will give you a review once I have bought and tried these products. Do you have a beauty wishlist???

A week in Scotland!

Hello lovelies!
I have finished all my exams for this year which means I can start blogging regularly again (YAY).

For half term I spent the week on holiday in Scotland in a lovely caravan park called Tralee Bay near Oban.

Here is what I got up to during my week in scotland!

Saturday

Lock of Lowes (not my photo)

The Ospreys nesting there (not my photo)

Saturday was our first official day in Scotland. We started the day by visiting the nature reserve at the Lock of Lowes. Here they get a pair of Ospreys who nest here every there so we went to see them. This time there were 3 eggs and two of the chicks had already had.

We then looked round the town of Pitlochry and we picked up lunch there.

After lunch we went to Killiecrankie which is where the famous soldiers leap is. Me, my brother and my dad went down and saw the soldiers leap.

Sunday

In the morning we looked around the town of Oban (about 10 miles from where we were staying).

Afterwards we went to Easingdale to look around the Highland shop.

Easingdale

The Atlantic bridge (near Easingdale)
We ate lunch at the Ben Lora cafe (situated in the village of Benderloch, the village we stayed in). The Ben Lora cafe is also a bookshop. We had eaten here the last time we visited and the food is delicious and the staff are really friendly. For my lunch I had a ham and cheese toastie followed by a scone with cream and jam.

Monday

Firstly we went to Fort Augustus which is home to the Lock Ness Monster (which we didn't see). We looked around the shops. There is a nice glass shop there which sell ornaments of the Lock Ness Monster and other things.

We then drove up to the Isle of Skye. The scenery, on the drive there, was so beautiful and breath-taking!. The mountains where huge and it made me feel really small and awe-struck.

The Mountains

The Isle of Skye was stunning in itself. We only had a short drive on the Isle of Skye as we were running out of time. However we will definitely be visiting  the Isle of Skye again!

Tuesday

Today we went to Knapdale forest. In Knapdale beavers had been released as a project to bring beavers back into Scotland. Knapdale was the "trial site" and the trial lasted from 2009-2014. The project is still ongoing as the data is being collected and then the Scottish Government will make their decision.

Unfortunately we didn't see any beavers while we walked around Knapdale. However we could see signs of beaver activity (such as where the beavers had gnawed the trees).

Wednesday

We visited one of my favourite places in Scotland today, the Isle of Mull. It rained all day on Mull but we still had a lovely day there.

When we got to Mull the first place we visited was Tobermory, famously known as Balamory. We looked around the shops at Tobermory and me and my brother raided the chocolate shop there.

Tobermory

Afterwards we drove around Mull. I love driving around Mull as the scenery is very pretty. Also on Mull you can see Sea Eagles (White tailed Eagles, largest bird of prey in the UK) and Golden Eagles. However due to the rain we didn't see any eagles that day.

Thursday

Today we drove up to Ardnamurchan which is the very west point of Scotland. On the way there I spotted a Golden Eagle.

We stopped off at a nature reserve. At the reserve we spotted 2 seals,an otter and 4 porpoise. It is very rare to see otters and porpoise in the wild.

After that we then drove up to the nature centre and me and my brother looked around the exhibition there. On the drive home a pine martin ran across the road and seeing a pine martin in the wild is also a very rare site!

Again the scenery around Ardnamurchan was so beautiful!

Ardnamurchan

Friday

Today was our last day in Scotland (*sobs*). In the morning we visited the Barcaldine aquarium. We watched the otters and seals get fed and we saw all the fish in the tanks.

Nemo and Dory

Lewis and Isla, the 2 otters

The Seals

For lunch we ate in the Ben Lora cafe again and I had the same as what I had on Sunday. In the afternoon we had a final look around Oban.

I had an amazing week in Scotland and it was really relaxing. What did you get up to during half term?

❤April Favourites❤

Hello everyone!
Wow its the 1st of May already which means it's 10 days til my exams (ahhh :( ) and 21 days until they are all over ( YAY :) ).

I know this post is a day late but here are my april favourites

Carex Strawberry Laces Hand Wash
This is one of my favourite hand washes, mainly because its pink. This hand wash smells amazing and it lasts as well. Also it lathers really easy and leaves my hands feeling soft afterwards. I'm definitely going to buy some more when I run out.

Strawberry Cupcake Hand Cream
I saw this hand cream being introduced in Superdrug so I decided to pick on up and see if it was any good (I also managed to buy it at the introductory price as well). The packaging is really cute and pretty. The actual hand cream has a really sweet smell and does a great job of moisturizing my hands. They feel really soft and smell lovely.

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush
Body Scrub
I got this in the big Soap and Glory gift set for Christmas. This has a sharp fruity smell to it (which reminds me of lemonade floats). This does a great job of exfoliating my body and I've been really pleased with the results so far.

Dove Gradual Tanner
I used a gradual tanner last year and it went patchy and gave me orange hands (yes I accidentally forgot to wash them after apply). However I wanted to give it another go as I have very pale skin so I picked up this one. In just a few days it gave me a tan that looked great and natural at the same time without going patchy. I apply it evenly on my body just after a bath or a shower.

Aussie- Shampoo and Conditioner
I'm on a misson to find the perfect shampoo and conditioner and after hearing many great reviews about these two I decided to pick up some mini ones to test. These have made a massive difference to my hair. My hair feels much more softer and silkier and it also smells fabulous. I loved these I actually bought the big bottles as well.

Well those are my April favourites.
