My Music Playlists

Hello!
Over the past couple of months my music taste has grown and varied. After seeing various playlists posted on Twitter and Facebook I had a listen to them and made my own playlists. So here are my playlists...

My Playlists

As you can see I currently have 4 music playlists and I will explain why I made each playlists and what songs are in each playlist.

Positive Vibes Playlist

  • Ready or Not- Bridgit Mendler
  • Brighter than the sun- Colbie Caillat
  • Really don't care- Demi Lovato ft Cher Llyod
  • Let the sun shine- Labrinth
  • Turn up the Radio- Madonna
  • Happy- Pharrell Williams
  • Radioactive- Rita Ora
  • Birthday- Katy Perry
On Twitter someone posted an "uplifting playlist" so I listened to the songs and really enjoyed them, so I decided to create my positive vibes playlists. The songs are really uplifting and always put me in a good mood, I tend to listen to this playlist when I'm walking to the bus stop each morning to lift my spirits up. Out of all the songs on here Radioactive and Really don't care are my favourites as they have such a happy tune. Hopefully this playlist will grow even more.

Christmas Songs Playlist

  • I wish it could be christmas everyday- Wizzard
  • Let it snow- Dean Martin
  • All I want for christmas is you- Mariah Carey
  • Merry Christmas Everyone- Shakin Stevens
  • Last Christmas- Wham
  • Fairytale of New York- The Pogues
This one is pretty much self explanatory. During the christmas period I listen to these songs every day to get into the mood for christmas. I made this last year so I need to add some more songs but even though it's only short it has some of my favourite christmas songs on there.

Girl Power Playlist

  • I follow river- Lykke Li
  • Happy- Misty Miller
  • Wander- The Aquadolls
  • Shut up- Savages
  • My friend Goo- Sonic Youth
  • Killer Bangs- Honeyblood
My friend posted a link on Facebook to a blog which posted a playlist of feminist songs (sadly the blog no longer exists). This is such a good playlist and it makes you think how great us girls are and female empowerment. There were a lot of songs on the original playlist but I picked out my favourite. My favourite songs are here are Wander and Happy, the lyrics are just amazing and they have such a good tune.

Running Playlist

  • Lets Go- Calvin Harris ft Neyo
  • Summer- Calvin Harris
  • Dangerus- David Geutta ft Sam Martin
  • Lovers on the Sun- David Geutta ft Sam Martin
  • Changed the way you kissed me- Example
  • Stay Awake- Example
  • Little bad girl- David Geutta
This is my most random playlist as it's a collection of my favourite, upbeat songs which I listen to when I run. It helps me run in time to the music and I can focus on the lyrics and tune rather than how tired I am. This playlist has my all time favourite song Stay Awake and my 2nd favourite song Little bad girl as they have such upbeat tunes and I love songs which are really upbeat.

I would recommend listening to all these songs as you may discover your new favourite song!

What are your music playlists?

❤February Favourites❤

Hiya!
I can't believe it's the last day of February!!! Where has the time gone??? Anyway here of my favourites for this month

Benefit- Its potent eye cream
I got this in a gift set at christmas and its just fab. Sometimes I get dry skin around my eyes and this product does wonders for me. It moisturizes the skin around my eyes and keeps it soft. I would defiantly recommend using this.

Soap and Glory- The righteous
body butter £10.50
Again I got this in a gift set at christmas. I have also used this body butter before and its one of my favourites. Yes its expensive but for the price its totally worth it. It leaves my skin feeling soft and it also has a gorgeous smell as well.

The Body Shop- Rose hand cream £10
Recently my hands have been feeling quite dry so I've been using this hand cream and it's really helped. Again this is another expensive product but it's worth the price. This has really helped combat the dry skin on my hands and it has a sweet smell of roses as well.

Candy Kittens Perfume
I got this in an advent calendar at christmas so I have no idea where I'm going to find another one of these (and mine has nearly run out as well). Anyway I have literally used this perfume everyday this month and its lovely. It has a really sweet smell to it (which I'm a sucker for).

I quite like David Guetta's songs so when having a listen I came across this one and fell in love with it. Now I've been playing it repeatedly. I can't describe my music taste (it's pretty unique) but I love songs that are upbeat and have a funky tune and that's exactly what this song has. The lyrics are also catchy as well.

Those are my february favourites, what are yours?

❤January Favourites❤

Hello lovelies,
Well the first month of 2015 is nearly over and for me its been a very busy month for me. I had my mock exams when I went back to college but they mostly went ok.

Anyway last year I didn't do my monthly favourites but after looking at several on different blogs I decided I'm going to give it a go this year. Here are my January favourite products

Argan Hair Oil
Price: £6.99

My hair is dyed and although I try hard to look after my hair the ends can feel rather dry. I had read a couple of great reviews about this product so when I saw it on offer in Tesco I decided to buy some. This product is amazing and has completely transformed my hair! The ends of my hair now feel soft and well nourished and it makes my hair smell fab as well. Also you only need to use a tiny blob at a time.

Miss Manga Mascara
Price: £8.99

I had used this before and loved it but unfortunately I ran out. However I was very lucky because on christmas day I received 2 in my stocking. This mascara is my favourite as it makes my lashes look really long and gives them tonnes of volume. Its very easy to apply (especially as it has a flexi brush). All I would say is use a tissue to take excess mascara off the brush before you start.

Carmex Lip Balm

Price: £2.69

Like with the mascara I also got a pot of carmex in my stocking. Carmex is my saving grace as it's the only lip balm I have ever known to work for me. My lips can sometimes get quite dry and Carmex does at brilliant job at soothing them.

Eco Tools Make Up Brushes
Price for pack of 6: £11.99

During the christmas holidays I decided to finally buy some proper make up brushes rather than use cheap ones. I was keen to try the eco tools ones as they are environmentally friendly. I did buy a pack of 6 but I'm currently only using 2. The smallest one I use to apply my eye-shadow and it works wonders as it makes it really easy to apply. The big one I use to apply my blusher and again it makes applying my make up very easy. Also the brushes have a cute pattern on them.

Lush Snow Fairy
Price: £3.50 (roughly)

I know christmas is over but I always buy a bottle of Snow Fairy every year and I'm currently still using it in the shower. It's a bright pink candy colour that is all sparkly and glittery. However my favourite thing about snow fairy is its scent which is candy floss.

Favourite Songs Of The Month
  • Lovers on the sun- David Guetta
  • Dangerous- David Guetta
  • What the hell- Avril Lavigne
  • Rude- Magic
  • Prayer in C- Lily Wood
Well those are my January favourites, what are yours?

♫What would life be without a song♫

Hello!

Music plays a massive part in my crazy life. I have loads of songs on my i-pod and on my phone. I listen to music on car journeys, going to school, coming home from school and just everywhere in general. Also I love different songs for many different reasons: artist, tune, lyrics ect. However one of the reasons of my huge love for music is that certain songs hold precious memories ( you will see what I mean in a minute).

So I'm going to tell you all about my favorite songs.

Calvin Harris Feat Neyo Lets Go
Out of all the songs I have listened to this is my favorite song by far. The tune of the song is amazing and when the bass line kicks in it gets even better. Also I love lyrics of the song which is all about boyfriends trying to get their girlfriends to go to the gym and partying and life. These are my 2 favorite parts of the song.

But I don't just love this song because of all this,no,this song holds a memory to me. My friend in 6th form introduced me to this song and its his fault that I love it so much!!!
So here is the story behind it...
Every year my school holds a summer drama course ( we make up crazy dramas and play crazy games) on the first week of the summer holidays. Being a massive drama geek I go to the course. Well this year a group of us, one lunch time, danced across the theater to this song and it was loads of fun ( until we got expensive sound equipment ooopsies)told off because my friend had decided to plug his phone into the

Calvin Harris Feat Neyo: Lets go

Perfect Two:Auburn

This is the cutest song I have ever heard!!! Its all about a couple that are perfect for each other. The tune of the song is very slow and funky and played on the guitar. However the best part of the song is the lyrics. Its about everything that goes together e.g: Peanut Butter and Jelly. And each line of the song rhymes.

Train:50 ways to say goodbye
Although its not my favorite song I love, love, love this song. My lovely friend in y8 told me to listen to this song or she would kill me ( she was joking BTW), so I did. The tune of the song seems to have a Mexican theme which makes it rock even more. The song is all about a man who's girlfriend has broken up with him. He is fine with it but if his friends ask where she is he makes up a load of lies, e.g: "Eaten by a lion". The lies he comes up with are hilarious and this song is definitely worth listening to.

Example-Changed the way you kissed me
Wow!!! This song is just amazing. I love the tune to this song- its very catchy and funky. Also I love the lyrics to the song, especially at the start of the song ( even though I have a fear of heights and flying). This is another song that holds a memory to me and yes its from the summer drama course again ( only this one was a year ago). We were playing the dancing game which is basically one person makes up a dance move and then everyone copies. The next person makes up a dance move and we do the last persons move and this person move, it goes on and on and on and its very fun especially when there is about 50 of you doing it!!! And this song just so happened to be the one we danced to.

No Change- Levellers
This song is practically ancient and I can guarantee no one will have heard it ( If you have I'm stunned). Also this song would be classed as folk music. However I love this song. The tune of the song is very melodic (is that even a word???) and soothing. It is also played on the violin. The tune reminds my of ballroom dancing and lullabies. This song tells us a story about how things happen but overall nothing actually changes.
Out of all the Levellers songs I have heard ( which is a lot) this one has to be my favorite.

Levellers No Change ( Sorry if its bad quality its the only good one I could find)

Moulettes and Manchester

Hello my vanilla cupcakes (✿◠‿◠)

On Friday night I went to a gig in Clitheroe to see... the Moulettes!!!
There is a story behind why we went to see them. About a year ago we went to see a group called the Levellers ( a very old group that my parents like and I grew up listening to their music) and the Moulettes were the support group. We all fell in love with their music instantly as they were amazing. They sing pretty unique songs- so let me tell you about their music.
I would say there music falls under the genre of folk. Now you may think OMG that's old wouldn't dare listen to it. Actually you would be surprised. There songs are very powerful and have a lot of meaning. Some of the songs the compose and sing are quite dark such as Bloodshed in the Woodshed. My favorite song is called Rumpelstiltskin's Jiggle. The violinist and the cellist play a tune together. It gradually gets faster and faster until the end of the song- no words at all.
Overall I loved seeing the Moulettes perform again and even better after the gig I got to meet them!! They are lovely people and very talented. I strongly recommend you listen to their music, NOWWWW!!!

The Moulettes

Then, Yesterday, I went to Manchester with my parents and we had a brilliant time looking round the Christmas market. To begin with we bought drinks from a stall. Mine was a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows and a chocolate flake. Now I have a little story that goes with this. The lady there put the hot chocolate down ( with a chocolate coin) and I was about to take it. Suddenly the lady said no that isnt yours ( it was for the lady standing next to me) So I let her take her hot chocolate and handed back her chocolate coin. Then mine came without a chocolate coin!!! I was bitterly disappointed but the hot chocolate was yummy.
Afterwards we looked round the stalls. There were craft stalls, jewelry, beauty products, clothes and food stalls galore. I particularly loved the little quirky stalls that sold unique gifts. To finish off we looked in a few shops and I bought my families Christmas presents and a few things for myself. So if you live near Manchester or don't then Go to the Christmas market and have a good look round!!!
