Beauty on a budget

Hello lovelies!
Everyone loves using beauty products and want's to be able to afford the good quality products and look their best, which can sometimes be expensive.

However buying beauty products doesn't always have to be expensive and here are some simple tips to help you buy products, on a budget.

Sales/Offers

Sales and offers are one of the cheapest ways to be able to get good quality products at a good price. There are literally lots of different sales/offers: buy 1 get one free, 2 for 1, 3 for 2, 2 products for £12. This allows you get multiply products in a bargain. So if your have your eyes on something you want why not wait until its in a sale or on offer.

Shop at beauty outlets/cheap stores

Shopping at beauty outlets and cheap stores doesn't mean that the quality is poorer. In fact, more often than not, you can get all the really good brands at a far cheaper price than you would find at drugstores. Also in shopping centres you can often find stalls selling good quality products at very cheap prices (I've done this before and I saved myself at least £5. My favourite stores include: Savers (the best one in my opinion), Poundland/ Poundworld, Home Bargains and Wilkinson's.

Beauty Dupes

I have already made a blog post about beauty dupes (which you can read here: http://petiteseverina.blogspot.co.uk/2015/10/beauty-dupes.html). Beauty dupes are a cheaper copy of more expensive products. Duped products are often just as good quality as the originals. By getting beauty dupes you can have a much cheaper alternative and save yourself alot of money.

I hope these tips help you get good quality products and save money at the same time. How do beauty budget?

Harry Potter and London

Hello pumpkins!
Last friday i went down south with my family for a few days and we arrived back yesterday. Whilst down south we went to the Harry Potter studio and London (for 2 days) and I thought I would share my experience with you.

Harry Potter Studio

Queuing in the line with my pass
It took us 3 hours to do the tour but it was SO SO worth it! The tour consisted of 2 buildings and an outdoor area.
In the inside bit we saw all the original set, costume and props that were used within all 8 films. It was amazing seeing and recognizing the different sets that were used in the films.

Dumbledore's Office

Halloween Feast in the Great Hall

Diagon Alley

Yule Ball Costumes

Off to catch the train on
Platform 9 3/4

During our tour they had a Dark Events going on. They had death eaters walking around (I met 2 of them!), how the wands were crafted for the films and how the wand special effects were created.
I met a death eater!

Butter Beer!
I even got to try the famous butter beer that features within the harry potter books and films. It was really nice and refreshing although I wasn't keen on the white marshmallow froth on top (it was a bit too sweet for me)

Knocking on Harry's House
With the outside bit of the tour they had the Knight bus, Privett Drive, the bridge from Hogwarts (which was very uneven to walk across!) and Potter's cottage.

Its Forkes the Phoenix
Once we went back inside we looked round the creatures section which was very fascinating. I met Forkes the phoenix (which I was very happy about as he is one of my favourite creatures in Harry Potter) and I also met Buckbeak (Buckbeak bowed to me and for those of you who have read Harry Potter you will know what it means). They are robotic but they look very realistic and are very cleverly designed.

Hogwarts Castle!
My favourite part of the tour had to be seeing Hogwarts castle. It was all lit up and looked so magical. They even used this model for some of the scenes in the movies!

The tour was fabulous and I really enjoyed looking round all the set and designs. If any of you get the chance to go I would say go, you won't be disappointed!

London: Day 1

In the morning we walked round Camden Market. I was a tad disappointed this time as they had changed all the stalls around as they are currently renovating an area of the market. However I still enjoyed looking round the market and I bought 3 tops and a sun and moon necklace. For lunch we had "Bang Bang" chicken and noodles which was delicious.

Covent Garden Market

The Moomin Shop!

In the afternoon we went round Covent Garden which we had never done before. I enjoyed going round the market and visiting all the cute little shops there. My favourite shops were the moomin shop and Artbox. Artbox was filled with tonnes of kawaii stuff (AKA Severina heaven) and when we go back I'm going to buy a cuddly alpaca from there!

London: Day 2

Changing of the guards

In the morning we watched the changing of the guards at Buckingham Palace and I was lucky enough to get to the front of the palace. It was great seeing the guards change, some of the guards arrived on horses and the guards also played music.

In the afternoon we ate in Leicester Square at Bella Italia. It was a lovely meal!

Well that's what I've been up to these past few days. Its been lovely spending some time away from home. Have you done anything for half term?

Shopping Haul

Hello lovelies,
Today I went shopping in York (favourite city in the Uk because the shops are so unique and its beautiful) and had a great time (even though it rained for part of the day). Here is what I bought

Left- Blue velvet jumpsuit- Ark £12 (sale)
Right- Black crop top- Ark  £6 (sale)

Ark is a funky clothes shop I just discovered today in York and I want to buy the whole store. Whilst browsing I spotted this jumpsuit in the sale and fell in love with it. I love velvet and the pattern on it's gorgeous. However the jumpsuit is very low cut so I bought I top to wear underneath it

Sailor Moon Key ring- Give the dog a bone £5.99
Not going to lie I'm a MASSIVE fan of Sailor Moon. When i spotted that Give a dog a bone had just started selling some merchandise I knew this key ring would be perfect so I bought it. I have know put it on my keys with all my other key rings.

Dove intensive repair shampoo and conditioner- Boots £2.69
Currently I'm on a mission to find a shampoo and conditioner that suits my hair as it gets dry at the end but also greasy. I had read a good review of this product and when I saw they we on offer I decided to purchase them. Hopefully they will make my hair stronger and softer without it going greasy.

Natural Collection nail varnish- £1.99
I'm also on a mission to own as much nail varnish as I possibly can. I wanted a berry coloured and a pale pink varnish so when I spotted these I knew they would be perfect. I can't wait to try them out

Think Pink bath bomb- Lush £2.65
Lush is one of my favourite shops and I always love spending ages smelling all the bath bombs. I picked up one of my old favourites, think pink bath bomb, as it was the cheapest and smells so nice. It turns the bath water bright pink and there are even little pink love hearts inside it now. Can't wait to use it on one of my pamper evenings.

Well that's everything from my haul. Have you done any shopping recently?

Shopping Haul

Hello everyone,
Yesterday I went to MeadowHall to sales shop and here is what I bought!

Clothing
Jeggings- New Look

These were actually a christmas present off my aunty but there were way to small. However I just exchanged them for the next size up and hopefully they will fit much better.

Fleece- New Look £6 (in sale)

I spotted this fleece in the sale and decided I was going to buy it. With the weather being freezing and not having to wear a uniform anymore (YAY) I thought this will be perfect for keeping me warm at college. Its also super snuggly inside.

Smock- Primark £5
Cardigan- Primark £14.00

When I walked into Primark I spotted this smock and cardigan and fell in love with them. I just love the colour and the pattern on the smock and it teams really well with the cardigan.

Cardigan- £14.00

I have been lusting for a cardigan like this for ages and yesterday I finally bought one. As its cream coloured it will go with just about anything which means I can layer my outfits up.

Thumper Slippers- Primark £3.00
Care Bear Slippers- Primark £4.00

If you are a regular reader of my blog you will know that I got these slippers for christmas. However my mum suggested I got another pair of each for when they are in the wash.

Beauty

Eco Tools Make up Brushes- Boots £11.99

With trying to look after my face I needed to buy some good quality make up brushes. I was really keen to buy the eco tools one as not only are they good quality but they are eco friendly as well. I will write a review about them once I begin to use them

Make up Applicators- Boots £2 per pack

When I'm at college or go out at the weekend I wear eye-shadow. My mum suggested I get some cheap disposable ones rather than have one brush as it would be easier to throw them away rather than wash them.

Well that's my shopping haul. I hope you enjoyed reading it.

London and Norwich (Part 2)

Hello,
When I came back from France I spent 3 days down south and here is what I got up to while down South.

London
On the first day down south we went to London for the day and it was amazing. First we looked round Camden Market because a)I had always wanted to do it and b)we had never done it before

Camden Lock Market

There are 2 parts of Camden Market, there is one in Camden itself and one by Camden Lock. My favourite was Camden Lock as there were heaps more stalls and it was much more spaced out.

The stalls

The stalls at Camden Market sold a variety of things such as clothes, jewellery, positive message plaques and much more.
While at Camden market I picked up a few bits and bobs that I liked. I loved looking round the stalls as they all had a unique touch to them.

Food stalls

One of my favourite parts of Camden Market was the food stalls as they all handed out free samples which were very yummy. In fact we got lunch from one of these stalls.

Stall where we got lunch from

After looking round the market we looked a few shops in Camden itself. I loved the shops in Camden as they were very different from normal shops, particularly the design of the shops

Funky shops in Camden Town

After having a good look round Camden we got on the Tube and went to the Natural History Museum. There was an exhibition on wolly mammoths and we had tickets so we looked at the exhibition. It was really fascinating and it told you all about wolly mammoths

Wolly Mammoth Exhibition

After looking round the Museum we got the tube to are final destination of the day, the Tower of London. At the Tower of London they are currently filling up the grass in front of it with ceramic poppies for 100 years since WW1. At the moment there is about 200,000 already placed and they hope to have over 1 million placed by November 11th.

Tower of London( you can just see
the poppies at the bottom)

Overall it was a brilliant day out in London and I hope I can go back to London again soon.

Norwich

The day after London we were supposed to go to Cambridge but it rained so we just went straight to Norwich. On the final day (day 3) we had a morning shopping in Norwich. If you have been reading my blog for a long time you will know I have visited Norwich previously. They have oodles of shops in Norwich some of which are modern every day shops and some which are funky knick knack stores. It was a great morning shopping in Norwich and I bought quite a few bits and bobs. For lunch we ate in Bella Italia and then came back home.

Shopping Haul

Hello my lovelies!
With not being at school I have tons of free time so yesterday me and my friend went to the Metro Centre for a spot of shopping.

My haul from shopping

      Toiletry Bag-Primark
When I was clearing out my room my mum threw away my old toiletry bag and I needed a new one since I'm going on holiday soon. I spotted this one in Primark and it's perfect. It's big enough to fit in all my toiletries and the pattern on the bag is very cute.

Sandals-Primark
My Sandals for last year where completely worn out and had to be binned so it was time to buy some new ones. I don't like sandals with toe separators( like a flip flop) because it rubs my toes raw. I saw these ones and they were perfect. The material is lovely and soft so they will be easy to break into and comfortable to wear. Also the colour is a neutral shade so it will go with any outfit.

Lollipop Shower Gel- Primark
While in the queue in Primark I spotted this mini bottle of shower gel and after sniffing it( it smells like sweets) I decided it would be perfect for my holiday. I don't want to take a massive bottle of shower gel because it would take up too much space so this one is just the right size for me to take on holiday.

Strawberry and Raspberry Shower Gel-Superdrug
On previous shopping trips I had spotted this shower gel before and I loved the smell of it( this one also smells of sweets) but never got round to buying a bottle. So this time round I made sure I wasn't going home without purchasing one.

I love Strawberries and cream bubble bath and body cream-Superdrug
I had run out of bubble bath so it was time to purchase some more. I love fruity and sweet smelling bubble baths and I spotted this one and it was perfect for me (and its pink so that's an added bonus). Also there was a deal on the I Love products for "buy one get one half price" so I picked up some body butter as well and it smells so yummy.

Pearl Deodorant- Body Care
Deodorant, not the most exciting thing to buy and talk about I know. However my other deodorant is beginning to run out and it's also in a big bottle so I needed a new and smaller one for my holiday. I like the smell of this one and it comes in just the right size bottle to take on holiday so I purchased it.
